How do I purchase care?

How do I purchase care?

Are you or someone you know looking for some additional support and care?

Are there specific tasks that you need extra help with or maybe just a little assistance with the day-to-day routines?

Medico is able to provide the level of help and support that you require, whilst you still maintain the level of independence to which you are used to.

Private clients (those people who are purchasing their own care directly from independent care providers) are a growing part of our homecare business, with most of our branches meeting the requirements of these service users.

The number of people wanting or needing to purchase their care privately and independently is on the increase. This is due to factors such as;

  • The elderly population in the UK growing
  • A general reduction in the number of residential nursing homes available
  • The government’s plan to promote ‘Direct Payments’ (whereby the client can decide who they want to provide their care services, purchasing the care for them to better suit their individual needs)
  • Social Services departments reviewing care eligibility requirements and the range of home care support they will provide

Did you know?

Having your home care delivered by Medico Home Care can cost half the price of care in a residential home?

Or that…

Nearly half of elderly people living alone reported difficulty with at least one domestic task (including laundry, shopping, vacuuming)?

Our aim is to provide clear and easy to understand information on the services we can deliver, but most importantly, on the benefits and outcomes of our services to the client.

Next Steps

  1. Please visit the Our Services pages to see the different types of service we are able to provide
  2. Contact your local Medico branch to discuss in more detail your specific needs and care requirements (Use our Branch Finder to find your nearerst branch)
  3. The branch will then arrange a no obligations meeting in your own home with one of our representatives so that you can discuss your needs (with your own family present if you wish)
  4. After confirming your choices we will then be able to establish the weekly cost of your care. This information will be clearly presented to you for your signed approval. If the costs and details are correct you can confirm your requirements and your care plan will be put in place as soon as you wish

Medico Home Care is here to help wherever and whenever we can, delivering care in the comfort and safety of your own home
