Medico is able to provide the level of help and support that you require, whilst you
still maintain the level of independence to which you are used to.
Private clients (those people who are purchasing their own care directly from independent
care providers) are a growing part of our homecare business, with most of our branches
meeting the requirements of these service users.
The number of people wanting or needing to purchase their care privately and
independently is on the increase. This is due to factors such as;
- The elderly population in the UK growing
- A general reduction in the number of residential nursing homes available
- The government’s plan to promote ‘Direct Payments’ (whereby the client can decide
who they want to provide their care services, purchasing the care for them to better
suit their individual needs)
- Social Services departments reviewing care eligibility requirements and the range
of home care support they will provide
