Every year thousands more people go into residential and nursing care because they are
unable to be cared for by family or friends:
- 30% of households have one person living alone (that´s 7 million households)
- 4.1m people over the age of 50 live alone
- 55% of people over 50 years old do not have a living relative within a 1/2 hour journey time
- 14% of all households are single pensioners
What is it?
Domestic assistance or services are those which are usually delivered in the service users own home
and which help with a wide range of day-to-day tasks that may be unmanageable of difficult to perform
on your own.
Domestic assistance activities may include:
- Shopping
- Clerical Assistance
- Cleaning
- Pet Care
- Laundry services
Our Objective
To provide all the back up needed to help our service users stay in their own homes
safe in the knowledge that they can have all the help they need with whatever task they
find most difficult.
How can we help?
As mentioned above, our domestic service can provide assistance with a wide range of activities,
from cleaning to clerical assistance, to pet care. By providing this assistance we are able to meet
the service users wider needs.
These may include;
- Providing reassurance of a safe and secure environment
- Providing the encouragement and assistance to get out of the house
- Reducing the hygiene risks to health, and helping provide a clean environment
- Aiding independence
- Helping to promote companionship
