What is it?

One in four people will have some kind of mental health problem during their life, and there are millions of people nationwide who are either encountering problems themselves or know someone who are. Medico is able to provide assistance to enable those affected by mental health problems to live as independently as possible.

Mental health problems can affect anyone, and can influence the lives of their family and friends. Each year more than 250,000 people are admitted to psychiatric hospitals and over 4,000 people take their own lives (Mind 2005).

Our Objective

To provide all the support needed to enable our service users stay in their own homes secure in the knowledge that they can have all the support they need with whatever task they find most difficult.

Medico can assist by working in conjunction with existing Mental Health Authorities and teams to provide:

• Encouragement of basic well-being and support with domestic activities
• Management of disorders and conditions
• Responding to coping provisions
• Supporting and caring in difficult situations
• Support with hospital visits
